Born and Raised in Barrie, Jennifer is no stranger to the numerous restaurants this city imparts on us. Having a hunger (and thirst) for an exceptional dining experience, Jen has raised the bar since taking over Urban Dish in 2012. To make a good restaurant great, it takes superb food, outstanding cocktails, and remarkable service. Jen intuitively knew that Barrie was in need of a place that was top in all categories.
Whether it be securing the area's only mixologist or her sought after chef, Jennifer has built a team of people that strive to exceed expectations in every facet of the business. With a little patience, and a lot of tenacity, Jen has had the fortitude to turn Urban Dish into one of the most prominent establishments this city has to offer.
Their award-winning chef is most recently known for winning Top Chef Barrie in 2018 and successfully placing 2nd in 2019.
Amanda crafted her culinary skills in top tier restaurants such as Origin and Bistro 990 in Toronto and the Westin Bear Mountain Resort in BC.
Amanda often donates her time to community fundraisers and events and was nominated for Barrie's most influential woman in 2019. Rider is now excited to flex her culinary muscle as Head Chef at one of Barrie's finest and most respected restaurants.
With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Kevin joined Urban Dish in September of 2016 by way of Charlotte, NC, having helmed the bar for celebrity Chef Emeril Lagasse at e2.
Kevin began his career in Los Angeles and has crafted his skills and knowledge in the likes of Denver, Chicago, Detroit and Las Vegas. He describes his style as sophisticated, but simple and approachable. You'll often hear him say, "We're not drinking, we're learning", and his stories about his craft are endless. His ultimate goal is to give you an experience. "You can get the basics anywhere outside our doors but when you're here, just try something different, you won't be disappointed!" And we wholeheartedly agree!
